TRIBE OF GYPSIES: Rare Video Posted, New Album Released Domestically
October 24, 2006A rare, never-before-released promotional video of the TRIBE OF GYPSIES' epic "We All Bleed Red" has been posted at YouTube.com. It was filmed in London, England in the fall of 1993 as the band were in town to record the "Balls to Picasso" album with BRUCE DICKINSON and features the same lineup assembled for the TRIBE's eponymous 1996 debut: guitarist Roy Z, vocalist Dean Ortega (ex-NEVERLAND),bassist Eddie Casillas, drummer David Ingraham, and percussionists Doug Van Booven and Mario Aguilar.
A domestic version of the TRIBE OF GYPSIES' latest album, "Dweller On The Threshold", which was released July 20 on JVC/Victor in Japan and September 26 on Seoul Records in Korea, can currently be obtained through the band's web site. Co-produced by Roy Z and L.A. studio legend Richard Podolor, it is the TRIBE's first album to feature the group's current live line-up consisting of Z on lead guitar, former JASON BONHAM BAND vocalist Chas West, keyboardist Ray Rodriguez, percussionist Elvis Balladares, drummer David Moreno (BRUCE DICKINSON, EARSHOT),bassist Juan Perez (BRUCE DICKINSON, ZACH DE LA ROCHA),and second guitarist Christian Byrne. Several "Dweller..." tracks are available in streaming audio on the band's MySpace page. TRIBE OF GYPSIES have also announced another L.A. area show and will be making a headline appearance Saturday, November 18 at Paladino's, 6101 Reseda Blvd. in Tarzana CA.
